Where industrialization began hundreds of years ago and water wheels in the rivers drove hammer mills and grindstones for the production of tools, today runs one of the most beautiful hiking routes in the Bergisches Land region. The Drei-Täler-Tour runs for around 30 kilometers along the historic watercourses of the Eschbach, Morsbach and Wupper rivers. Along the way, relics such as cottages, hammers and forges tell of the hard-working past.

Hiking fun for the whole family

The tour is perfect for hikers of all ages. You walk almost effortlessly along old railroad lines. Where steam trains once snorted, the tracks are now only used for leisure activities. Of course, there are a few climbs to overcome from time to time, because where there are valleys, there are also mountains - but don't worry, they are easy to master.

The journey is the reward - and Schloss Burg is the summit

Shortly before the destination, however, the ascent gets a little steeper. But the effort of the ascent is quickly forgotten once you reach the medieval Burg Castle perched high above. A fantastic view of the wooded hills and valleys of the Bergisches Land awaits you here. You can also reward yourself with all kinds of delicacies in the cafés and restaurants. How about some fresh waffles or real burger pretzels?

Tip: If your legs are already heavy, simply get on the cable car at the bottom of the parking lot and float up.
