The 'From the Rhine to the Erft' road bike tour is a 70-kilometre route that leads from the Rhine to the Erft on relatively flat terrain. A small section of the foothills has to be negotiated, otherwise the route, which is organized by the Radtreff Campus Bonn (RCB), runs mostly on flat terrain from Bonn-Oberkassel to the other side of the Rhine, to the Erft and back again. A racing bike with good tires is essential for a pleasant tour, and despite bike navigation, a little sense of direction can't hurt. The route leads mainly along roads with little traffic and well-maintained country lanes. With a difference in altitude of around 300 meters, a total of 72 kilometers must be completed. This regional cycle tour is a circular route that is attractive for both racing bike enthusiasts and cyclists who want to enjoy the scenic beauty of the region.
