In the recognized Kneipp spa town of Olsberg in the Sauerland region, health is a top priority - and is also incorporated into hikes. Water, a central element of Sebastian Kneipp's health philosophy, is the focus of the Olsberg Kneipp Hiking Trail. The approximately 42-kilometre circular hiking trail leads through the idyllic Hochsauerland region and offers numerous opportunities to refresh yourself in natural spring water in the Kneipp tradition.

The Ruhr, one of the most important rivers in North Rhine-Westphalia, rises just a few kilometers from the route and accompanies hikers on some sections with its clear water. Smaller watercourses such as the Gierskoppbach or the Elpebach also run through the landscape and, with their natural surroundings, provide the perfect backdrop for relaxation and mindfulness.

At the heart of the trail are the numerous Kneipp treading stations and arm bathing pools. In Olsberg itself, the large Kneipp pool in the spa gardens invites you to experience the revitalizing effect of the water first-hand.
