I certainly don't want to show off, but my wild side is actually unique in NRW. Because here in the Eifel, nature can do whatever it wants. Listen carefully to how it crackles and rustles in the undergrowth here. And can you smell the scent of damp moss, rotten wood and fresh grass?
Want even more goosebump moments? Then pack your swimsuit and jump into one of my crystal-clear lakes, whose blue water glistens in the midst of the densely overgrown forests. Or come and visit me at night, when it's pitch dark on the ground and the stars in the sky above shine brighter than anywhere else. I guarantee you: you've never seen anything like it.
But of course I also have a romantic side. Because I love half-timbered houses and old walls. So take a stroll through the historic imperial city Aachen or idyllic villages like Monschau and Nideggen, indulge in nostalgia and let yourself be enchanted when the lights are on in winter and the scent of mulled wine wafts through the narrow streets.
