DASA Arbeitswelt exhibition - Join in and try things out in Dortmund

Taking part and trying things out are very important at the DASA Arbeitswelt exhibition in Dortmund. Under the motto "Experience: People // Work // Technology", you can experience the working worlds of yesterday, today and tomorrow with all your senses. It's up to the woman and the man - have you ever held a dentist's drill in your hand? Or sat in a cockpit? You can do that here in Dortmund. Workplaces from various industries have been recreated and made accessible for you.

What's coming tomorrow?

The new highlight is the almost 800 square meter exhibition area "New Working Worlds", which deals with the topic of the future. It shows you the world of the possible and interweaves real objects with fictions and emotions, with media and people. You wander through centuries of history about visions of the future or encounter megatrends such as globalization, demographics and digitalization. You will experience lots of smart technology and can even create your own avatar. You can also become part of the Future Exchange and play an active role in shaping the exhibition.

Interactive for everyone

A central theme of the interactive experience exhibition is the presentation of central human values such as integrity, dignity, health and participation in social life in relation to everyday working life. The exhibition is both exciting and informative, making it a popular destination for school classes. But the DASA in Dortmund is also worth a visit if you are traveling with your children, as the museum regularly hosts temporary exhibitions on a wide variety of topics in addition to the permanent exhibition.

Close by

The DASA Arbeitswelt exhibition was opened in 1993 as part of the world exhibition "Expo 2000" on an exhibition area of 13,000 square meters in Dortmund Dorstfeld. It was built very close to the Technical University of Dortmund, well located on the A40 and not far from Dortmund city center. You can therefore combine your visit to the DASA with a shopping spree through the Kreuzviertel district or a visit to the German Football Museum. If you are interested in art and culture, take a look at the Dortmunder U, the center for art and creativity.
