Dortmund U

Dortmund

As a new type of cultural center, the Dortmunder U combines art, research, cultural education and creativity. It is a sign of new beginnings and structural change in the Ruhr region. The cooperation between the various cultural institutions and organizations in the U-Tower building creates a programme that goes beyond the boundaries of the city and the region and sets new impulses. Exhibitions, film programs, workshops, lectures, talks, concerts, club evenings, video and sound art as well as other event formats can be experienced.

The "U" is a cooperation between the Museum Ostwall, the Hartware MedienKunstVerein, the Cultural Office of the City of Dortmund, the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts, the Technical University of Dortmund, the european center for creative economy (ecce), the association Kino im U e.V., which runs the RWE Forum, and panUrama GmbH, responsible for the catering in the building.
