DEPOT cultural venue

Dortmund

Once the main streetcar workshop of the municipal transport company, the Depot cultural venue is now a place where creativity can run free. More than 40 individuals, companies, associations and offices have set up shop here since it opened in 2001. Architects, designers, lecturers, photographers, graphic designers, visual and performing artists work at the Depot. Under one roof, education, art, culture, media, creative services and gastronomy enter into a rare symbiosis that shapes the spirit of the place.

An exciting and varied cultural program awaits visitors to the depot - exhibitions, cinema, markets, fairs, dance, theater and workshops. The building's unusual architecture also provides the framework for a wide range of individual uses. Rooms for up to 750 people can be rented for receptions, gala dinners, congresses, conferences and daytime events of all kinds. The Depot e.V. is a member of various networks (including Kulturmeile Nordstadt, LAG Soziokultur NRW).

Important information about accessibility: certificates

  • "Reisen für Alle" (“Travel for All”) is a nationwide, uniform labeling system for barrier-free travel.
